Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is an appealing story to the Cambodia casinos that lie just over the border from nearby Thailand, where gambling hall gambling is illegal. Eight casinos are situated in a relatively small location in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent destination, a 3 to four hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 largest gaming locations in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a thriving business with Thai workers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very couple of Westerners. The phenomenal income accrued from the gambling halls ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than 12.5 million, and there are a few restrictions requirements for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mainly Thai; still, financial sources are ambiguous. The borders are ceremoniously open from 9:00 a.m. to 1700, and although visas are apparently necessary to cross, there are methods and means around this, as is true of most border crossings.

The 1st Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving just one casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary bateau gambling hall, highlights one hundred and fifty slot machines and sixty table games. The Naga gambling den is open all day and night with 42 tables of mini-baccarat banque, 4 tables of twenty-one, ten of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The 1st gambling den in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown quickly opened. There are 150 one armed bandits and five tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four one armed bandits and 68 gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slots and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 one armed bandits and 96 table games, including eighty seven baccarat (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. In addition, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machine games and sixty six of the normal tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the eight casinos in Poipet, also a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machines and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of an international vacation and hotel complex that contains numerous conveniences accompanying the gambling hall, which houses ten thousand square feet of one hundred and thirty one armed bandits and eighty eight table games.
